About this yard

Burley Villa is a family-run riding school on the edge of the New Forest National Park near New Milton, offering one of the broadest activity menus of any centre in Hampshire. Alongside traditional English lessons in the indoor and outdoor arenas, it is one of the few UK centres to offer Western-style riding, with trails, tack and instruction to match.

Pony Trails are available for children aged 4 to 14, led on a lead rein around the fields and woodland at a calm pace. Holiday Hacks (age 7+) take riders out into the park to spot the wild ponies, with instructors on foot where needed for younger or less confident riders. Western Trails (age 12+) introduce western saddle and posture before heading out into the forest on a 90-minute or 2-hour route. For more experienced riders, walk-and-trot group hacks and private cantering sessions are also available.

Beginners are always welcome. The centre also caters for hen and stag parties, corporate groups and private events. Livery is available on-site.
