About this yard

Fairfields Farm Riding School sits on 40 acres just outside Ryde, run by Sally, a BHS qualified instructor who has been teaching since 2000. The school holds Pony Club Accredited Centre status and runs a full programme of lessons, hacks, beach rides, pony days, holiday camps and birthday parties for all ages.

Two floodlit outdoor arenas serve the lesson programme across 25 stables, with direct access to downland trails for hacking. Sally teaches everyone from complete beginners to experienced riders, with an assessment for new riders to place them appropriately. Children are taught in groups matched by age and ability, with a progressive structure from walk and trot through to canter and jumping. Adults are equally welcome, one-to-one lessons are available for riders who prefer individual attention.

Holiday activities during school breaks include pony days, camps and stable experience sessions. The school also runs beach rides at Bembridge and St Helens, which are tide-dependent and typically available at weekends.
