About this yard

The Oaklands School of Riding has roots going back over 50 years, with the current centre formally established in 1995. A string of 58 school horses and ponies is one of the largest in Leicestershire, providing an exceptional range of mounts for every rider size and ability level from age 4. As a BHS Approved centre, Oaklands offers private, semi-private, and group lessons, a Pony Club with mounted sessions every Friday, and holiday pony club days. Oaklands maintains a strong commitment to inclusivity: two Riding for the Disabled Association groups meet at the centre each week, serving both children and adults. Facilities include two floodlit outdoor arenas with a full set of show jumps, an indoor school, and a small cross-country course available for hire, a well-rounded offering for riders with both recreational and competitive ambitions.
