About this yard

Talygarn Equestrian Centre occupies the grounds of Talygarn Court near Pontyclun and has grown steadily since its founding in 1994. It is the largest and most active Pony Club centre in Wales, holding BHS Approved riding school status, BHS Ride Safe exam centre recognition, and outreach approval for equine training through a Welsh college partnership. Disciplines span well beyond a typical riding school: in addition to standard riding tuition from age 3, the centre is home to Talygarn Vaulters, one of a small number of affiliated British Equestrian Vaulting clubs in Wales. Unaffiliated show jumping and dressage competitions run throughout the year, a cross-country course adds eventing preparation, and both indoor and outdoor arenas ensure year-round access. It is an unusually complete equestrian environment for South Wales.
