About this yard

Trans Wales Trails is based in the Brecon Beacons and has been running guided multi-day rides through the mountains, valleys and market towns of mid Wales for over twenty years. Horses are registered Welsh Section D Cobs, sure-footed, willing and bred for exactly this terrain. Packages run from two-night weekend breaks to the flagship five-day, six-night Trans-Wales Trail, which crosses the country from the Brecon border to the Atlantic coast with luggage transferred between overnight stops. Daily mileage runs between fifteen and twenty-five miles of varied terrain: moorland ridges, forest tracks, river valleys and quiet lanes. All accommodation and meals are included throughout, with riders staying at small inns and guest houses along the route. The operation draws an international clientele who come for the combination of genuine mileage, open country and a standard of hospitality that makes it feel nothing like a packaged tour.
