About this yard

Valley Farm Equestrian Centre sits on 82 acres of meadows, trails and woodland near Wickham Market in Suffolk. It is one of the most genuinely versatile equestrian centres in England, offering western riding, side saddle, carriage driving and conventional riding alongside trail rides through the farm's own land.

Western riding lessons cover all aspects of the discipline from beginner level: neck reining, dismounting, rollbacks, saddlery and the fundamentals of ranch riding. One-hour trail rides across the farm are available for riders with a little experience. Side saddle lessons use horses and ponies trained for the discipline, with qualified instructors who can take riders from first-time through to Side Saddle Association exam preparation, private lessons can be arranged at a time to suit. Carriage driving lessons and experiences are also offered.

The centre is one of very few in the UK where a rider can try western riding, side saddle and conventional English riding at the same venue.
