About this yard

Witherslack Hall Equestrian Centre operates from a 2,500-acre woodland estate on the southern edge of the Lake District, the largest semi-natural woodland in Cumbria, giving riders access to hacking terrain that most equestrian centres cannot come close to matching. A BHSAI instructor is based on site with a BHS saddle fitter visiting regularly. Residential packages run five days, with riders heading out each morning on routes through the estate and surrounding Cumbrian countryside, typically covering five to six hours in the saddle with pub or packed lunches en route. Accommodation is either in the 18th-century farmhouse on a bed and breakfast basis or the twelve-bed bunkhouse for group bookings. Children's residential camps and learn-to-ride intensive weeks are available through the season, making this one of the more versatile residential equestrian venues in the north of England.
