Quob Stables Equestrian Centre
About this yard
Quob Stables is one of Hampshire's largest and best-known equestrian centres, set in 50 acres of countryside near Durley, a short distance from junction 7 of the M27. BHS and ABRS approved, Pony Club registered and Clubmark accredited, it has been running for over 25 years and caters for riders of every age and ability.
The centre has 70+ horses and ponies on site and an exceptional set of facilities. The centrepiece is a 60x30m indoor arena with a cushioned track floor and HOYS-quality surface, a seating gallery for 300 and the Hayrack cafeteria serving home-cooked food. Outside, a large floodlit warm-up area with Artiturf and a covered 46ft horse walker complement the main arena. The complex also includes lecture rooms, a dressage simulator, an equine hydrotherapy spa, an onsite saddlery and a crèche.
Lessons run across all levels, from complete beginners to advanced riders working towards BHS Stage exams, with BHSAI-qualified instructors throughout. Group, private and semi-private formats are available, along with specialist activities including horseball, dressage training days, and hacking. Affiliated and unaffiliated dressage and showjumping competitions are hosted on-site throughout the year.
Livery is available for up to 50 horses, with daily turnout, residential staff and a welcoming yard community. Volunteering, apprenticeships (KEITS-approved) and work experience placements are available for those looking to develop equestrian skills.
